2 page spread 1

this is the first design i did for my second 2 page spread. if you notice, if it were to go in a magazine it would cut Samantha Mumba in half ...also there is 1 minor typo....i will upload the final version later...but i uploaded this one because i think it is a wonderful layout.

not a rule a guideline...;)...baboska....heard in pirates of cari,...yes anon--no--ms."rules"can b broken.....BUT "correctly"

Anonymous Guest 16 Jan 2004

it's not necessarily a "rule" but a guideline...and you can feel free to break it if it works

Tamara Paylor 16 Jan 2004

isnt the saying that if u know the rules u can break them...thanks for the comments

Very nice, I like the colours. But I think it should always be a rule of thumb to have 2-3 fonts in something like this...i like the big "&" but maybe "The Young" should be the same font as "Fashionable"?

Tamara Paylor 14 Jan 2004

thanks

Nice work Tamara.

let me spell it out....the different fonts in the title are on purpose...thats the only place there are different fonts..and the section title shouldnt be too pronounced if anything it could be smaller...i guess it depends on what magazine audience you are writing for

Shamara Lobo 19 Dec 2003

What's up with the Rudeness above. I think that the difference in fonts and the activity on the page is and eye catcher. for someone like me, who think magazines and rules are superficial and petty when it comes to excellent art, I would definitely pick this up.

Melissa Rinaldi 18 Dec 2003

meaning, and let me spell it out, they don't go,....'style' should be more definitely pronouced

Anonymous Guest 18 Dec 2003

Very good work...

Tamara Paylor 18 Dec 2003

what do you mean conflicting...i have alot of repetition..."style" could have been smaller...plus keep in mind it's for a magazine

Melissa Rinaldi 17 Dec 2003

nice switch, tones...fonts are still conflicting, BUT YOU R ON THE RITE , fonts below..bigger, above use less..:)
