Been there and ran to the top...it was a rainy, humid day too. Now when I look at it...it seems small. This shot has a side story...it looks like Athena is getting her picture taken by a vacationing Greek God (on the bottom left).
Nice shot of one of the oldest stare-masters in the world it is a good work out to go to the top and such a small room for all that stone.I see faces in the clouds;)!!!
Artist Reply: Thank you lots, Timmy. You are so right that it is a Real work out. Whew. But loved the climb and in that heat too. XO Sharon
I wish so very much to go there one day, Hopefully Before 2012 (hints) LOL! You've done wonders capturing the size and massive structure like th is Sharon! Bravo!
Hi sharon, i was here about 20 years ago, how nice is to see this magic pleace throught you pictures...very nice
thanks for shearing this with all of us
Wonderful shot! Been there. The ascent/decent is very steep, steps extremely narrow. Excellent view from the top though but very, very hot there. Worst sunburn of my life! Wonderful historical experience.
Wish I ws there to enjoy the history in person for this sight but your photo gives me the opportunity to experience a brief view of all this history. Thank you.
This is a fascinating subject Sharon! If you have more, I hope you'll share them. People don't realize how intelligient the people were that used to be down south.
