At the beginning of 19th century, Baron Pasquale Revoltella was one of the most suited bachelors in Trieste, his wealthness being not a minor reason. He was however too attached to his mother to marry. Baron Revoltella was one of the sponsors of Suez Canal. He owned a beautiful palace in downtown Trieste, and this chalet, on the hills around the town was his summer residence. It is now one of the most loved public gardens. Plein air artwork. Oil pastels on brown package paper. 30*40 cm.
