A special piece for me - "Venice in the Autumn" 2003, 10x8" oil on canvas was my first oil painting, and it probably shows. I knew nothing about oils, couldn't thin them (the paint was cheap from a local stationery store) and I didn't know about blending etc. The reflections were difficult to achieve but in hindsight it was a nice piece. The buildings really are that crooked! I know they look out of perspective but they are exactly how they are in the photo I took while cruising that part of the Adriatic. Snapped up on e-bay, this is my very first sale to the general public. All rights reserved R. Minchin.
