this image is 24 inches x 16 inches with a 2 inch box frame. Mixed media oil and acrylic. These peppers are a departure from the dear pears i love to paint but the shape of them and their waxy coating were alluring enough at the produce dept. to capture my attention. The essence of a summer salad, the embodiment of sunshine in a compact form was irresistable. This original has been sold, for print options please contact the artist.

The pepers seem to be planning something , but before their plans are done - they look way too delicious not to eat them up, foiling any plans they might have made. You can eat a deicious pepper like this but you can't trust them not to cook up a plan. You keep taking pepers to different places. They are going to become collectible.

Artist Reply: yes,, they are up to something Greg.. they are planning a conspiracy to break out of the kitchen as they have received intelligence that a pasta salad is in the making.. they can smell the grill heating up and are not too fond of the word "shish-ka-bob" which was overheard last night...........sshhhhhhhhh

i love peppers , i love the way you make them radiate with light..

Artist Reply: thanks so much,,, use a white underpainting.. that's what i did..and DO,, on all the veggie or fruits.,, it keeps the top layers bright and true.
