Amador, Panama

This is the Fortified Islands that helped protect the Panama Canal. There were/are 3 and the Amador Causeway was built to them from the main land with dirt dug from the Panama Canal. This is at the first of the fortified islands and how it looks today.

How very interesting, and the history addition is invaluable to those of us who know nothing of this fortification! You are adding to our knowledge and we are seeing the world thru your eyes!

Idyllic setting, Sharon; love the mist at the edge of the horzon! Since that appears to be a small cafe, are those bicycle racks for the customers to the left of the photo, or simply barriers to protect the small rock garden? Would you know that?
