This is an (almost done) painting which was today's attempt to get my watercolor "sea legs" back...I've been working so much in oil and doing so many landscapes that I can't even remember all of the things I do in watercolor. Sure feels good to get back. This is one from my imagination, really a loosening up exercise which is similar to other garden roses I've done. Mom grows some great ones, and all I have to do is look at hers with the bright midday sun to be inspired. You can see this painting as it progressed on youtube (look for youtube user "susankennedyart"); the actual video didn't work out, but an animation showing the watercolor bloom and grow will be there shortly.
