This bold scene full of colors and stripes shows a dark winged angel in her kachina-esque attire pulling a precious skelly through the marigolds. In Day of the Dead lore, marigolds are used as little beacons to remind the ancestors how to get back home each year during El Dia de Los Muertos. I also have a special place in my heart for marigolds. I used to plant them with my grandmother in her yard. They were little balls of orange and yellow sunlight living right in the earth. Sometimes you don't always feel like going home, but it is definitely where this little macabrelito belongs! Will you show them the way? © Misty Benson. All Rights Reserved.
