I created "American Bison" during the summer of 2001 while I was Sculptor-in-Residence at Mount Rushmore National Memorial in South Dakota. There I was in close proximity to three magnificent herds of Bison at Badlands National Park, Wind Cave National Park, and at Custer State Park. Driving my Jeep through neighboring Custer Park, I was able to track down the Bison and set up an improvised sculpting studio on the tailgate. The American Bison sculpture is one of several pieces sculpted in the field from live Bison in their natural habitat. Bronze. Available now in a limited edition of 100. Copyright©Lisbeth Sabol

Best sculpture on this site, is my suggestion/comment. Well detailed, yet crude and intensely strong in character.Loren Carson 08 Apr 2007
