Narcissus Anemone

Narcissus Anemone is a herbaceous plant species in the family Ranunculaceae. It is also known as Narcissus-flowered Anemone Narcissus Anemone can be found here in South central Alaska growing in the alpine tundra. The story of Narcissus ends when Zeus took pity on him and transformed his body into a white flower that would bloom once again, every spring. And that is - - according to the Greeks - - how the flower, Narcissus, came to be. This picture of a Narcissus Anemone was taken near Little Susitna River in Hatcher Pass.
