Hamleys is one of the world's largest toy shops. Its flagship store in Regent Street, London, is considered one of London's major tourist attractions, and receives about five million visitors a year. Hamleys is named after it's founder William Hamley. The shop in Regent Street was opened in 1881. During World War II, the store was bombed five times. The store has seven floors, all devoted to playthings, with different categories of toy on each floor. (WIKIPEDIA). *** The photos were taken on August 25, 2009.
