Trapped in Nightmare

...A passage through? Is it a gateway to somewhere else... Anywhere else... I move towards it, urgently, carelessly. Finally an escape. Nightmare's ominous gaze follows me steadily. What monster is this? If I could look upon its whole being perhaps I could understand. If I could see the beast in its entirety, perhaps I could overcome its subversive power. I stumble and nearly lose my chance. The way out is so near. How long have I been immersed in this dark and lusty hole. Time is broken. The gate... What a strange and beautiful structure. I will myself towards it, but it never appears to come closer. Time has shattered free of its continuum, leaving glittering fragments suspended weightlessly and without meaning around me. All that is left is the eternity of this Nightmare and the realization that I shall never escape it.

It is a cool image. To me it speaks of time, of creation and destruction. Many find beauty in ruins, fossils or bones because they speak of what has been. Sadness has it's bittersweet beauty when you realize how deeply you feel for another person. It is compassion. Nightmares have been seen as a spritual attack. Storytime - A person had a recurrent dream of being chased by a tiger. At first, in the dream, they ran away. Years later, in the dream, they hid and closed their eyes and hoped it would go awy. Years later, in the dream, they opened their eyes and faced the tiger. It disappeared and they never had the dream again. In my personal experience, I have called out the name of Jesus and the fear has dissipated. Perfect love casts out all fears.
