36" high x 36" wide enamel on steel So, I scurried to a local metal shop and discovered that "spangled" steel is not an uncommon product. I immediately purchased a small sample of this galvanized steel and painted on it. Abstract impressions seem to work the best of the simplicity and strength of the support. My first sample was a success, so I ordered eight 36" x 36" "pans", or metal sheets with 2" lips. Then a carpenter fashioned a wooden frame within the back of each pan, so that a cord could be placed for easy wall hanging. Now my background was ready for my "brain-waves", and wave it did! I plunged in and developed these paintings you see here, and more. If you'd like to see the other abstracts I've created, please contact me, and I'm more than happy to send you slides/photography for your consideration. Art is my life, and I hope you enjoy my work.
