Artist Reply: Thanks. Yeah, I had never seen anything like it before a couple years ago- and then only along large lakes or oceanin the southern-most section of New England. No idea what kind of flower it is... maybe i will see if my dad can get his friends from a "Natural Botanical society" or some such thing... where they help people identify and possible eat/use for various reasons. It I find out I will let you all know!!
