A very simple image, but I felt great emotion creating it. I spent a lot of time thinking about it: experimenting with its design and colors and their relationships. I always do that. It's a major feature in most of my art, BUT the actual experimentation was far greater, in its difficult and exhausting process of creation. Actually, I realize that what I am trying to say is simply that all the usual processes in making a painting were just much intensified. And I thing that is because I felt it more intensely than often, and that almost controlling mood grew stronger as I proceeded with the whole process, which of course changed here and there as we both (the process/experience) And I also want to mention that along with my paintings, titles frequently point, or suggest, one particular vantage area (but not the ONLY, of course) that should be taken into consideration -- frequently a sort of voice from the painting saying: "Don't omit considering . . . !"
