"Cottage by The Sea". Whether real or imagined, the music of the waves and scent of the ocean breeze can be most rejuvenating and comforting. In this painting, I aimed to convey the emotional and spiritual attachment to a special place that feels like kismet. Painted in oils over a hand textured canvas with loose brush work, most notably in the hair. I endeavored to retain a sense of mystery as to the feelings and thoughts of the enchanted young Woman. I imagined the vintage charm of a romantic cottage, weathered by many years of rugged coastal elements. Fine art original painting measures 28 x 22 inches.
