I have a soft spot for these former beauties that have fallen into disrepair and been abandoned. You can already see nature taking over. It won't be long before the bulldozers come - in fact, they already have - this neighborhood in Ankara has been restructured extensively and most of the original houses are gone. Painting such fragile beauty for me is a way of preserving a little bit of the past. Watercolor on Millford, 26x36 cm. 2019
