Lay Brothers Refectory

This is a photograph of The Lay Brothers` Refectory (c1150) at Fountains Abbey, N. Yorks, U.K. It is the best example of a Cistercian vaulted ceiling that exists in the world.

What a beautiful picture of arches! I dont' know how to rate photography except to say , "what a pretty picture!"And to think it was created so long ago..no one makes anthing so beautiful today. Bravo to you for illustrating this with your camera! Love it!
