Spirit Lake

This is a painting of a small lake behind where I live. The sunsets just behind the trees and in the summer it sometimes lights up the water with beautiful colors. In this semi-abstract painting I tried to depict the mystic atmosphere that is Colorado. Gunnsion is located at 7,700 ft in the heart of the Rockies. It is a part of the Western Slope and is the valley below Crested Butte.
