Cool Waters

This is a painting inspired from the waterfalls of the Rockies in Colorado where I live. It reminds me when I first saw a small spring that flowed from the middle of a cliff. There are a lot of streams and rivers in Gunnison so I am very fortunate to have access to a myriad of landscapes to use. The vibrant colors create a dynamic depiction of a waterfall cascading through rugged cliffs. Shades of blue, orange, and purple blend to form a vivid and abstract landscape.
