Fruit fugue

In “Fruit Fugue”, the composition emerges from casually scattered apples, pears, and lemons on the table, and from the interplay of light and shadow. The fruits enter as counterpoints, setting tonal peaks. Long, softly tinted shadows trace diagonal paths, gathering the scattered elements into a single flow of time — evoking the presence of a low, morning sun. The background is not neutral: its iridescent transitions of lilac-blue and rose undertones form an airy veil in which highlights seem to expand the boundaries of the objects. The balance between cool and warm, dense and translucent builds a quiet dramaturgy: the objects appear at times anchored by weight, at times almost levitating. This is a fugue not about symmetry, but about variations and the freedom of form’s breath.
