The Playground.

122cm x 107cm - When children play, their imagination knows no bounds. Especially on a rainy day when there’s nothing else to do. Their creativity thrives. There's something magical about those moments. Their dreams are unrestrained and pure. Guided only by the heart's desire to explore and create. Wistful dreams fill the air, and every simple object holds the potential for adventure. There are no limits, no rules. Just endless possibilities. But as we grow older we trade the wild, untamed imagination of our youth for the predictable patterns of adulthood. Social media, mobile phones, and other electronic devices begin doing the imagining for us. Offering endless distractions and feeding us pre-packaged concepts of what life should look like. Slowly, as the years pass, we lose touch with the unbridled joy of creating our own worlds. What was once a playground for the mind becomes a realm of passive consumption. ? This painting reflects that loss
