16x20 acrylic on canvas The Coldwater Covered Bridge, also called the Hughes Mill Covered Bridge, was built around 1850 in Calhoun County, Alabama. Spanning 63 feet, it is the oldest surviving covered bridge in the state. Built by a formerly enslaved craftsman, it originally crossed Coldwater Creek before being relocated to Oxford Lake Park in 1990.
