Amber Glow

This is a painting of a winter scene in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. It is a part of a series I have started with snow and ice, not my normal genre. I am really enjoying the challenges of painting white snow that has texture, shadows and personality! A serene landscape with snow-covered trees and a winding stream. The sky is painted in soft, warm hues contrasting with the cool blues of the water.
