Washing Pears

My wife and I own a small U-Pick apple and pear orchard in the Lake Champlain Islands and this shows some of the fruits of our labors. I photographed this with soft window light, some overhead house lights and reflectors. What I got was a perfectly ordinary photograph of a bowl of pears. To get the affect of cleanliness I printed the photograph very light and let the highlight wash out. I did repair one stem of a pear with the computer. I noticed the bad stem when I was shooting, but I was too lazy to go out and get another pear. These pears are harvested in mid August. and our apples are ready mid September. to late October.

I agree about the contrast, but still a pleasing picture.

This is a wonderful composition. If you have adobe, maybe turn the brightness down just a tiny bit to make the contrast a little stronger - but great photo nontheless!
