Daughter 2

My daughter. A pencil portrait using Q-tips for all the shading. I don't really like the execution of this one that much and I figured out why after it was done. She had a good tan going on at the time the photo was taken and it came out in the drawing. She's not normally that dark complected so it looks off to me.

you may not like doing the portraits as much but i've gotta tell you, that's where your real talent lies. they're both beautiful (the drawings and your daughters). by the way, welcome to aw.

Artist Reply: I love doing portraits, it's just not as fun or as creative as the fantasy stuff.

This portrait is devine! Why do you think it's off, if that's how she looked at the time? We don't know that she's not supposed to look that way, until you tell us, right? Perhaps you're saying something only to people who know her.
