This lantern lights up an enchanted and magical land for all of to enrich our lives in the New Year. I wish everyone in this talented group a healthy and happy new Year. At times we feel disheartened and dispirited. Ask yourself, When did you stop singing? When did you stop dancing? When did you stop being enchanted by stories? When did you begin finding discomfort in the sweet territory of silence? As it says in the I Ching, the ancient Chinese book of wisdom, the event is not important, but the response to the event is everything. Our response to events can turn rutted path into a great adventure filled with wonder, awe, curiosity, discovery and exploration. The lantern in this image is a gate to aspects of ourselves, the messages that open the way to new creative opportunities that mirror our gifts, talents and resources. New doors are always present when we see that everything that is presented to us is an opportunity to manifest our gifts but also to tame and reign in and tickle our beasts. This way we contact both the beauty and the beast in our nature. Both light and darkness must go into our learning crucible as a door that connects us to many gates that inevitably connect us to our deepest selves so we can contact our soul and allow the light to illuminate the path to a richer life full of wonder and enchantment.
