Year of the Rat

2008 is the year of the rat (or mouse). I felt my first piece of the year should somehow reflect that, particularly because I was born in the year of the rat. Rats are known to be prosperous, as well as a bit miserly, so I drew a simple little rat investigating a couple of old Japanese mon coins; a symbol of prosperity and fortune. Ink on 8.5x11 bristol.
