This is a little one which I did a few weeks ago to get back into watercolor after a long break. After a year or two of mostly oils, I felt that I was suffocating in thick paint. The crispness and transparency of watercolor was just what the doctor ordered. I tried to capture the play of sunlight and shadow on the soft red and pink rose petals in this quick study. It's not a painting with a lot of deep thought, just a little whoop of joy about things like roses and sun. The copyright and all reproduction rights of this image are of course retained by me, the artist. I do accept commissions for both oils and watercolors, email me if you have any questions.
