I painted this one in 2007 while immersed in oil painting projects, and it was such a fresh breath of air for me. The subject is the lovely cluster of yellow roses in my mother's enviable rose garden, and I tried to zoom in and focus on the stillness fragrance, and bouncing light that only someone whose face is inches from roses can feel. I hope it comes through. The original was sold last year, but the image is here in my portfolio and also available in small prints. Of course, as the artist, I retain all copyright and reproduction rights to this image. Please do not duplicate it without my express permission. I do accept commissions for both oils and watercolors and would love to hear from you about a painting you'd like!
