My sister Amy gave this stunning red ceramic vase (she knew I loved vases and the color red); I must have painted it four times within the first month of owning it, and come to think of it--I haven't painted it in a while! She said that you don't see too many red pottery items (I think it's hand thrown porcelain)because the red glaze is so toxic that few potters specialize in it. I'm glad this one did!
