For this painting...I used a staining effect... its hard to see from the photo but it has very thin amounts of paint...which most of it was either rubbed on or off with a wet cloth/sponge. the design on the border is actually where paint was removed with water and a brush. it looks faded,dirty, and has an unfinished look...but thats why i like it.
