This large painting was inspired by a very dramatic sunset from our riverfront home. I grabbed the camera to capture the moment and found that it married suitably with the birds of paradise flowers whose colors mimic the intense colors of sunset. In reality, the two can co-exist but is not as easily captured by a camera for the average lay person. As an artist, I can overcome that obstacle by the rule of artistic license.
