Jan de Jong is a Dutch photographer 05-03-1948. He published his pictures in several issues and books and on the Internet. A lot of his pictures were made while travelling through interesting countries in the world. Macro-pictures were mostly made in his own backyard in Amerongen, the place where he lives in the Netherlands. Now and than there is an exposition of his work somewhere in the Netherlands.

His pictures can be found in the following books and issues: Hollands Zicht, Geschiedenis van Marokko, Holland met eigen ogen, Biggles Magazine, B-art Amersfoort, Creatieve stad Amersfoort, several Magazines and Newspapers, Internet. He Works mainly with a digital camera (Canon EOS 300D, since september 2007 Canon EOS 40D, since july 2013 Canon 5D Mark II (lenses used: Canon ef 24-105 mm., Canon ef 100 mm. macro, Sigma 150-500 mm. tele)). He has no specialism, although people, landscapes and macro-photography often appear in his work. His portrait on this site was made by his good friend, and also Artwanted member, the Dutch painter Bart van Oijen.
