"The power of a photograph is in its ability to make you see the world in a different light"

I was born and raised part of my life in Middlesboro, KY; a very small town with a lot unique history. When I was 10, my family packed up and headed for an adventure down in Southwest Florida. The new environment allowed me to experience new things in nature. I explored the Everglades and the Florida Keys and experienced the beach for the first time.

I took my first and only photography class when I was 16. At the time I based my decision on the fact that for one hour a day I got to roam the halls of my high school and take photographs. Little did I know how much one class would inspire me to pursue such a beautiful art. When I first looked through the viewfinder of my Canon manual camera I saw a new world. We only shot in black and white film which forced me to envision my subject in black and white and not rely on the color I saw with my eyes. My darkroom experience only heightened my excitement of photography. I could manipulate my photos with burning techniques, filters, and developing techniques.

Ten years later, here I am still pursuing my dream and passion. I strive to capture something in nature that is awe-inspiring and hopefully my photographs cause the viewer to really appreciate the uniqueness and mysteries of the world around us.
