Im originally from Denmark and just recently moved to the San Francisco bay area. My inspirations come from the light and feel of Scandinavia as well as from the roughness of the metal industries. When mixing the soft and rough elements a whole new expression appears.

My work can be described as more or less non-figurative abstract art somewhere in between geometrical and biomorphic abstraction. As an abstract artist I do not work with an accurate representation of a form or object and my representation can be differed in many ways such as form, colour or shape. Usually the object in my paintings becomes more simplified than is real form. Even though all of my work conveys something specific I hope to create art that allows the viewer to extract their own meaning from it.

My recent works now incorporate the experience of being a newcomer to the USA and coping with the very different culture of Americans compared to the culture of Scandinavians.
