Inspired by the bold styles and vibrant palette of early twentieth century artists, Marna Schindler's paintings are expressive representations of animals, places, and objects. Her work focuses on the energy within each of her subjects, where forms are explored, reduced, and re-envisioned. Her compositions invite the viewer to settle in and feel the work, finding sensory experience in shape, line, and color. Painting primarily in acrylic, Marna's work is spontaneous and direct, with unrestrained brushstroke and a fluid, intuitive approach. Marna holds a fine arts degree from San Diego State University, and is a member of the Coronado Art Association. Marna has been a full-time painter for almost two decades, displaying her work primarily in juried art festivals across the West.
