Growing up in Liverpool England. Maureen came to Australia with her family in 1967 She studied fine arts when in her middle twenties then spent many years travelling around Australia and many other countries. Maureen eventually settled in Frankston, Victoria on the Mornington Peninsula. She has had an interest in art and art history since childhood. She now has a grown family and grandchildren and is a retired Remedial Masseur and Bowen Therapist of many years experience. Maureen now devides her time between her family and working in her studio. Raja Yoga meditation has also become a big part of her life. She concentrates mainly on composition and colour. Since the beginning of 2020 she has been working towards being more intuitive in her mark making and freeing up her work. Working from the start of a painting without any expectations of what the finished painting will look like and letting her mark making come from her soul. Experimenting is crucial to her and has opened up to many different ways of working.
