co-chair art show??

i recently been appointed to be a co- chairman for an art show with a local art group....im happy for the oppertunity...but dont know the first thing about it...if anyone can give be a description of what im supposed to do...or give me any tips..it would be very appreciated...im scared im gonna screw the whole thing up

Cramer, If you are unsure I would first ask the Chairperson for some direction. Ask questions like: is this a juried show? What are the delivery and pick up dates for the artwork? What kind of volunteer base do you have to help you? Will there be advertising needed for the submission of work as well as preparations for the opening of the show? Do the artists wish to have someone critique their art. Once the art is submitted, who will hang the show?

Try to get a guidline from someone who was involved with a previous show. Do that first and then try to organize a meeting of potential volunteers to help you. Hope this helps.

yes it helps..thank u very much..im still kinda confused about where to start and exactaly what to do...but i guess after i talk to some older members in the group i should be ok
