Uploading Images Explained

We have had a few novice computer users ask for simplified instructions on how to upload an image to their portfolio, so we have written these simplified instructions:

1) Go to www.ArtWanted.com

2) Click on the MEMBERS AREA button.

3) If the page asks you to login, enter your username and password (you were provided this in your signup email). If you don't have it, then e-mail us and we can look it up for you or there is a place on the login page to request your password.

4) At this point, you should be at your members control panel. This page has your contact information, announcements and a box of 'member options' that contains 15 icons of various tasks to do as a member.

5) Click on the top-right icon in this section that is labeled UPLOAD NEW IMAGES.

6) Now you should be looking at a form labeled 'Add New Image'. It contains various fields for you to name and categorize your image. Type in the relevant information about the image you are going to upload.

7) Towards the bottom of this form, you will see a field labeled 'Find Image'. Click on the BROWSE button and it will open up a box that allows you to browse your hard drive for the image you want to upload.

8) You can either locate the image this way, or drag and drop the image into the window - once you see the image click on it and hit OPEN. This will put the path of the image in the blank space of the form.

9) The last step is to click on the ADD PORTFOLIO IMAGE button at the bottom of the form. This will take the image from your hard drive and post it onto our server. This can take seconds or minutes to upload the image, depending on your internet connection speed and the size of the image.

10) Once the image is uploaded, you will be taken to another page that will show you the image that was posted and the thumbnail image. On this page, you can click on the UPLOAD ANOTHER IMAGE link and repeat this process.
