Canceling Premium Accounts

We have had a few issues with canceling premium accounts in the last month, so we wanted to clarify things for everyone...

1) CANCELING ACCOUNTS

For those of you that are premium account members and wish to cancel, you can do so by simply e-mailing us that you wish to cancel. We will confirm that we have received your request by sending a reply to your e-mail. Your premium account will expire at the end of that month and you will not be charged again to your card. If you do not receive an e-mail confirmation from us, your account has not been cancelled and you will need to submit your request again.

If you have pre-paid for a whole year and wish to cancel before your account has expired, you can still do this. We will take the number of months you have used in your premium account and multiply this by $5 (standard month to month fee). Any amount that is left over from your pre-payment, will be refunded to you.

2) NUMBER OF IMAGES IN PORTFOLIO

In the past, we have seen some artists that sign up for a premium account only to upload a ton of images, then want to cancel a few months later - after their portfolio is full of artwork. For this reason, if you cancel your premium account, we will count up the number of months you have been a member of our website and multiply this by 3. This number will be the maximum number of images that you can have on your portfolio when we cancel, and all additional images will be removed. We have to do this in order to discourage those that want to abuse the system.

For example...Let's say you join our website and signup to be a premium member and upload 50 images. However, after three months you cancel your membership. You will be allowed 9 total images (3 months x 3) on your portfolio and all of the rest of them will be removed on the day you cancel.

3) ONGOING ACCOUNT

If you are a monthly account holder, your card will be charged $5 each month automatically - until you tell us you want to cancel. You should receive an receipt each month for the $5 charge via e-mail. If you are a yearly account, and your account expires, we will attempt to charge your card the $5 rate and you will be converted to a month-to-month account.

If your credit card is declined or expires, you will receive a notice via e-mail. You will then need signup again for a premium account with a new credit card number or expiration date to continue with the service. If you do not renew, or we do not hear from you, your account will be downgraded within a few weeks of the expiration date.

If you wish to look up the date your premium account expires, it is found on the EDIT CONTACT INFORMATION page inside your members area.

We hope that this clarifies a few issues that have come up in the past so that everyone is aware of them. If you have any questions about premium accounts, just let us know, thanks!

Sounds fair to me.

Didn't know about the month to month but it really doesn't matter in my case.

Dawn Schmidt 01 Jan 2005

Will you automatically charge me for this next year or do I have to go through the payment process like when I signed up?

I just checked the date, and my account expired on December 31st.

Thanks for all your hard work! :)

We normally try and charge the cards within the first week of the month for everyone that has expired. If there is a problem, then we will let you know. Thanks.

I appreciate the work you are doing. Your fees for membership are so reasonable that I would never think of cancelling. I have enjoyed the art you display immesely. Thanks for your good service.

Quoting AW: If you are a yearly account, and your account expires, we will attempt to charge your card the $5 rate and you will be converted to a month-to-month account.

Hmm, i seem to remember in a previous thread you said you would notify one month in advance before expiration date. Also I thought it was possible to remain on a yearly account, not to be authomatically converted in a month-to month account. Am i missing something?

Michelle Milburn 02 Mar 2007

Thats a fair deal.... Thanks!

Now that I signed up for the premium account how do I get my paintings to have a dollar sign by them or show that prints are for sale? Libr8ed Arts

Anthony Mottram 12 Apr 2007

You're missing the opportunity AW to "host" images that have already been uploaded.

Why delete when you can charge to keep em ?

Just a Laz 2 cents.

You still have not answered my query. Why was I charged when I discontinued my account and why is my site - supposedly defunct - still up? Please remedy this situation.

Thank you
