Born and raised in Riverview, New Brunswick, Canada, I moved to Fredericton, NB in 2003. As a child, I loved to draw and had a deep fascination and love of animals. In the spring of 2005, I decided to combine my appreciation for animals and love of art and start commissioning pet portraits. Since I started, I have become quite busy and now have a waiting list of a several months.
I am a self-taught artist, mainly working in pencil and coloured pencil. I love the detail and control that one can achieve with pencils, and each portrait I do provides a new challenge. Along with my commission work, I am also building my own wildlife portfolio and am working on expanding the types of media that I work with.
Being a pet portrait artist is something that I find very rewarding and I am very fortunate to be doing something that I love.
