Northamptonshire born Rodney Hair began painting in 1988 after a career in construction as a carpenter, always a country boy drew inspiration from his surroundings, sketching field animals, rivers, etc, started painting in pure watercolour with a typically low key palette to suit the English landscape. Then found that with oil paint it was possible to paint in a higher key and place colours side by side without fusion.
