"I draw and paint with the body of an adult but with the mind of a child." --myself

September 13. 1979. A good year to be born in Philadelphia, and an even better year to move to Piedmont, South Carolina.

In the war of nature v. nurture.. The environment called my attention to the cow fields. Besides all the tasty meat one could eat, pasturelands are a rich source of mushrooms. I was always fascinated with them. The educational system left me with plenty of time to pick, examine and play with mushrooms. We were friends, and not the sort that only picked me for kickball, no sir, those mushrooms did whatever I said.

Penguins have nothing to do with S.C. (it's too hot). But they are the sort of animal I know we can all relate to. To me the penguin is patient and long-suffering. My penguins get to look into the mushroom forests. In my landscapes they see what I saw in the South-- possibility.

Mush-guins are the imagination we all still have. Furthermore, a sign to the true democratic freedoms in which those here choose to participate.

Famous quotes: "I'm too drunk to taste this chicken." --Col. Sanders "Ask not what your mush-guin can do for you, ask what you can do for your mush-quin." --JFK "Baby carrots are trying to turn me gay." --Stephen Colbert (Presidential hopeful, fellow South Carolinian)
