Self Portrait

I’m a self-taught artist who paints by instinct rather than instruction. I’ve never had formal training or a mentor. I learn as I go — searching through books when I get stuck, letting my garden, music, and memory guide my hand when I’m unsure. Travel plays a quiet role in my process. I often paint places I’ve visited, especially when something about the light, landscape, or atmosphere stays with me. I don’t document—I interpret. I follow what lingers. I don’t speak the technical language of art. What I do speak is mood, rhythm, and sensation. My paintings aren’t trying to impress. They’re simply part of how I process my experiences — how I live, remember, and reflect. And if the internet still hums long after I’m gone, I hope my colors hum too — strong and clear, like distant birdsong in morning air. Grateful for your visit!
