I feel the most important role as an artist is to evoke a feeling and to engage the viewer in a dialouge. I find that visual storytelling is an effective way to do this.

I enjoy using digital image manipulation, digital photography, printmaking, drawing and multi-media for this purpose. I evoke the necessary mood through the use of color, line and, when needed, human forms.

I draw inspiration from personal memories, discarded photographs, visiting museums and studying the masters, the freeness in children's art and from the natural world around us.
