I was born and raised in Lexington, KY (US). Growing up, life wasn't very easy. But I managed and eventually went out into the world on my two feet. I graduated from college at the University of Kentucky with a degree in psychology. While there I studied abroad for a semester in The Galapagos Islands, Ecuador. This was one of the most memorably times of my life and has a huge part in who I am today. During college, I also started working at a Whitewater rafting company called ACE Adventure Resort in West Virginia. The first few years I worked there only in the summer, and eventually ended up moving there full time. I became a climbing and zip line guide, lived in a tent, and had some of the most wonderful times of my life for ten years. After I graduated college, I went on a road trip to Oregon and loved it there so much that I ended up moving to Portland for a year working at a local zip course. I love the Pacific Northwest and would still live there if my family wasn't so far away. While in Oregon, the love of my life professed his love for me, and we have been together ever since. At the age of 34, I now live in Louisiana with three beautiful young children. As a stay-at-home mom, I have finally surrendered to my new identity and look forward to what the future holds ;)
