I immigrated to the United States several years ago from Ukraine. After finishing a two-year college degree with a major in Management Information Systems I discovered a hunger to display my thoughts, emotions and feelings towards this new country, culture and lifestyle.
Painting is the best way to show my feelings at this time. I prefer the abstract style of art because I think it is the best way to represent ones emotions. Emotions, like abstract art, never have a clean and concrete structure. They are not unlike clouds or liquid that can flow or change shapes, colors and boundaries.
Inspiration for my work comes from many different sources within the outside world and my inner voice. The primary source is my notion of beauty, which resides within my sense of nature and humanity within phenomenon such as the sunrise, weather changes and human emotion.
I am experimenting with my style, utilizing a variety of color, form, shape and line within varied compositions. My technique encompasses using acrylic on canvas and color spray.
