Hello, my name is Maria Wagner I live in Northern Wis. I have been interested in art all my life. I have attended UW Marinette,and UW Green Bay where I received my bachelors degree in art education. During my years in college I worked for an outdoor advertising company in Green Bay painting billboards. After college I decided against teaching and stayed working on painting signs. I was promoted to painting supervisor and stayed for five years. Then my parents were ill and I decided to come home and care for them. They owned and opperated a grocery store (a very small,mom & pop place )that my grandparents had built. So, while here I started to remodel and turn the old grocery store into a studio/gallery.I have been doing mostly sign work to pay the bills but my true passion is drawing. I am now trying to market my pencil portraits. I have just started to do some local shows and trying to create some interest.
