I am a 30+ year resident of Greenwood Arkansas, and have been interested in artwork since I was very young. I started out taking art classes at Greenwood High School and have researched technique on my own since then. I have been inspired by my environment to capture nature's finest and most beautiful moments and bring them to the canvas in a way that might help the viewer see life from a different perspective.
I pursue photography with great interest and am inspired creatively by it. Landscapes, lightning photography, floral images and portrait work are of particular interest to me. I am fascinated by the way natural light enhances a scene, if only for a fleeting moment. These are the images I strive to capture.
I enjoy creating with watercolor, pastels, acrylics, charcoal, colored pencil, and pen & ink. Donations of my work and services to charities allow me to share this passion as well as by the traditional means and commission work, which give me a feeling of privilege and duty.
Making a piece of paper "come to life" is of special significance in my eyes and I believe that the real gift of my craft is the ability to capture nature's moments and observe the excitement and personal connection this brings to others. I am most fulfilled when a scene portrayed brings special and personal memories to the viewer.
